We treat your data confidentiality and in accordance with the purposes established in this privacy statement. We ensure that the processing is transparent and proportional.
If we are exceptionally unable to comply with these principles, data processing may still be lawful if a justification exists. A justification can include:
- Your consent;
- The execution of a contract or pre-contractual measures;
- Our legitimate interests, provided your interests do not prevail.
3.3 How can you withdraw your consent?
If you have given us consent to process your personal data for specific purposes, we process your data within the scope of this consent unless we have another justification.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email to the address provided in the imprint. Previous data processing is not affected by the withdrawal.

a. Principle
We may rely on the services of third parties or affiliated companies and entrust them with processing your data (so-called processors). Categories of recipients might include:

- Consulting firms (legal advice, taxes, etc.);
- IT service providers (web hosting, support, cloud services, website design, etc.);

We may embed links to our social media channels on our website. This is usually evident to you (typically through corresponding symbols). Clicking on the symbols will direct you to our social media channels.
The social media providers will know in this case that you are accessing their platform from our website. The social media providers can use the collected data for their own purposes. We point out that we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and its use by the operators.
c. Transfer abroad
In the context of order processing, your personal data may be transferred to companies abroad. These companies are obligated to the same extent to data protection as we are. Transfers may be worldwide.
If the level of data protection does not correspond to that of Switzerland, we conduct a prior risk assessment and ensure contractually that the same protection as in Switzerland is guaranteed (e.g., through the EU Commission's new standard contractual clauses or other, legally prescribed measures). If our risk assessment is negative, we take additional technical measures to protect your data. 3.6 How do we protect your data?
We will store your data securely and take all reasonable measures to protect your data from loss, access, misuse, or alterations.

Processing your request is subject to the statutory processing period of 30 days. However, we may extend this period due to high request volumes, legal or technical reasons, or if we need further information from you. You will be informed of the extension of the deadline in a timely manner, at least in text form.
b. Deletion and correction
You can request us at any time to delete or correct your data. We may refuse your request if legal provisions require us to keep the data longer or unchanged, or if there is a justification for doing so.
Please note that exercising your rights may conflict with contractual agreements and affect the contract's execution (e.g., early termination of the contract or cost implications).

4. Individual Data Processing Operations
4.1 Providing the Website and Creating Logfiles
What information do we receive and how do we use it? By visiting www.gastro-genius.ch, certain data is automatically stored on our servers or on servers of services and products we procure and/or have installed for purposes of system administration, for statistical or for backup purposes or for tracking purposes. These include:
- the name of your internet service provider;
- your IP address (where applicable);
- the version of your browser software;
- the operating system of the computer used to access the URL;
- the date and time of access;
- the website from which you visit the URL;
- the search terms you used to find the URL.
Why are we allowed to process this data? This data cannot be associated with a specific person, and there is no merging of this data with other data sources. The storage of the log files is to ensure the functionality of the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. This constitutes our legitimate interest. How can you prevent data collection? The data is only stored as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Accordingly, the data is deleted at the end of each session. The storage of the log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website, so you have no possibility to object.
4.2 Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense, a service for embedding advertisements provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google").
Google AdSense uses cookies to analyze the use of the website by the visitor. Additionally, Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to evaluate visitor traffic on the pages of this offer.
The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the user's IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be shared by Google with Google's contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.
Furthermore, you can disable interest-based advertisements on Google as well as interest-based Google ads on the web (within the Google Display Network) in your browser by activating the "Off" button at https://www.google.com/settings/ads or by carrying out the deactivation at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/. Further information about your setting options and data protection at Google can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/?fg=1.
4.3 Google Ads
We use the service Google Ads, an online advertising service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google") on our website. Google Ads enables us to place advertisements in Google's search results as well as in the Google advertising network.
4.4 Google Ads Conversion Tracking
We use Google's "Google Ads" online advertising program and in this context, its conversion tracking (visitor actions evaluation) on our website. Google Ads Conversion Tracking is an analysis service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google").
When you click on an advertisement placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is placed on your device. These cookies have a limited validity, do not contain any personal data, and are therefore not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.
The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not obtain any information that can personally identify users.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate technical settings of your browser software. However, we point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website fully. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
You can also deactivate personalized ads for you in the ad settings on Google. Instructions for this can be found at https://support.google.com/My-Ad-Center-Help/answer/12155764.
4.5 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google") on our website. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies," text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting states of the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide the website operator with other services related to website and internet use.
The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We use Google Tag Manager, a service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"), for managing website tags through a single interface. Google Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not process any personal data. The service ensures the triggering of other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation is made at the domain or cookie level, it remains for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.
By using Google Tag Manager, scripts (so-called tags) can be automatically activated on our website, and data can be transmitted from your browser to Google. This data may include information about your IP address, the browser you use, the subpages of our website you visit, and further interactions during your website visit.

By visiting our website or interacting with our Google My Business listing, such as leaving reviews or asking questions, data, particularly your IP address and the content of your interactions, is transmitted to Google and stored on Google servers. These servers can be in the USA or other countries.
